This is a simple three track magnetic card reader with serial output. This reader outputs a 9600bps 8N1 ASCII serial stream. We provide a adapter which converts serial RS232 level into 5V level for use in microcontroller based systems directly. Alternately Plug the reader into a serial port (or USB to serial converter), swipe your credit card and debit cards, and you'll see the account number plain and unencrypted on the screen. It reads all types of magnetic stripe type cards.
